A Funeral with full firematic honors was held for Chief Schnibbe in Hastings-on-Hudson on Friday, March 10, 2006. Fighterfighters, friends and neighbors from around the region and State attended to pay a final tribute to Bob. Members of Bob’s home Company – Protection Engine Company # 1 – served as Pallbearers and the Mayor of Hastings gave a very stirring eulogy.

The Fishkill Fire Department sent a contingent of personnel to the funeral as well as dispatching 42-13 and a crew of 6 to provide response coverage for the Hastings-on-Hudson Fire Department from 0800 to 1600 on the day of the funeral.
